Mom put me onto this book a few weeks ago: Battlefield of the Mind by Joyce Meyer. I started reading it and was overwehlmed with the, how do you describe it, bible-talk. I put it down for a few days. I guess I was just still distressed. When God took me back to it, I found it quite useful. Here are some of my highlights enjoyed:

"Strip yourselves of your former nature which characterized your previous manner of life and becomes corrupt through lusts and desires that sprang from delusion. And be constantly renewed in the spirit of your mind. And pu t on the new nature created in God’s image, in tru righteousness and holiness."   Ephesians 4:22-24

"for as he thinks in his heart, so is he. . . "   Proverbs 23:7

". . . it shall be done for you as you have believed . . . "   Matthew 8:13

ESPECIALLY: "Therefore I say unto you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours."   Mark 11:24

Once I got into it, I wasn’t even bothered by the bible-talk. It actually gave me peace which was valuable because I read two to five chapters before bed each night. I have some prayers that I make each day and I’m so thankful that ". . . it shall be done for you as you have believed. . ." It may require patience. But patience is easier in God’s hand and in the presence of family and friends. . . thank you.
